Here at the BBTC, safety is top our priority. However, due to its nature, professional wrestling is both a physically and mentally demanding one, which makes it a "high impact" and "high stress" activity. Therefore, entering the BBTC program is "at your own risk" and the BBTC has the right to require that all applicants produce a valid physicians document stating that they have passed a physical and are physically and mentally able to engage within a professional wrestling training program before you are permitted to join, which will be verified by the BBTC. In addition, all applicants interested must setup an in-person-interview before starting to determine if the course is the right fit for you.
You will learn how to condition your body through exercise and diet, in addition to, but not limited to, how to fall, how to strike, how to throw, how to apply holds and submissions, how to put together and work a match, how to understand wrestling terminology, how to give interviews, where to get wrestling gear, how to get bookings and make contacts, and many other areas.
Average course length is approximately 12 months long. However, ones first professional wrestling match usually preceeds this time and is dependent upon the progress of the individual trainee and judgement of the trainer(s). We are also connected to numerous local and nation wide promotions to help get you the exposure and experience you need. Recommended attire is casual gym wear (shorts, sweat pants, tshirt, etc) and the use of knee pads are required.
We also offer you the ability to pursue a career in being a referee, manager or announcer. This program will include a brief introduction to basic wrestling training first, which will include learning how to fall, chain wrestle, striking and basic ring pyschology as every referee, manager or commentator should have a sound basis in the art of professional wrestling as this will help one understand and adjust more fully into the role of a referee, manager or commentator. Upon completion of basic wrestling training, you will then proceed to specifically learn the area of your choosing. Course follows the same conditions as listed above but with a reduced average time frame of approx. 6 months.
